Sherrington has been retained by a leading natural resources business in Cheshire to recruit a Head of HR. Our client is an internationally leading raw materials business, providing sustainable solutions for use in a wide range of applications. With annualised global profits of circa $250m and and a well established UK business, they are regarded as the leader in their niche sector. Due to retirement, the position of Head of Human Resources has become vacant. Sherrington Associates are now looking to recruit an exceptional HR leader for our client.

Head of HR

Key Result Areas:

  • As a member of the UK Business Team, contribute to the establishment and implementation of strategy and business development including participation in the planning and business integration processes.
  • Provide impartial cross functional management advice with a long-term view of future implications of potential management decisions to avoid legal and commercial issues.
  • Lead the selection, recruitment and development of the UK team providing coaching support to ensure the organisation has the right people and is able to maximise their contribution to success.
  • Establish employee benefits which attract, retain and motivate high performing employees to support the business strategy.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures and approaches which meet legislative requirements and ensure the organisation has access to the right skills and competencies with a strong succession plan to meet present and future business needs.
  • Lead the performance review process to ensure that the business has a framework for measuring and improving employees’ performance and personal development.
  • Manage the delivery of employee communications and infrastructure which ensure that key messages reach employees to reinforce culture.
  • Provide expertise in support of reorganisation, restructuring and business growth to ensure that structures are aligned to business needs and changes are implemented within legislation.
  • Lead industrial relations representations, negotiations on compensation and wage, terms and conditions, with trade unions, individuals and groups.

Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ in HR

Package

  • Basic Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • Bonus: 20% paid annually
  • Pension: Contributory scheme (TBC) with Legal & General
  • LTIP: Share allocation
  • Holidays: 26 days + statutory holidays
  • Car: £12,000 car allowance
